The Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, scored the advance goal for his club Liverpool against Ajax Amsterdam, on Tuesday evening, at Anfield, in the second round of the group stage matches of the Champions League.
Salah’s goal came in the 17th minute, made by his Portuguese colleague Diogo Jota.
According to the Opta statistics network, Salah surpassed Steven Gerrard’s goal record with Liverpool in the Champions League, at Anfield.
And she continued, “Salah raised his score to 15 goals, compared to only 14 for Gerrard, so that the Egyptian pharaoh was unique in Liverpool’s top scorer in the Champions League at his home.”
The network added that Salah ended his scoring fast in the Champions League after he failed to score during the past seven matches.
