Aston Villa Birmingham has announced on their official website that head coach Steven Gerrard has been sacked.
“We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and dedication, and wish him all the best for the future,” said one of the representatives of the club.
Aston Villa are 17th in the Premier League with nine points from 11 matches. Gerrard took over the team in November 2021, replacing Dean Smith, who was fired a few days earlier. Under his leadership, Aston Villa finished 14th in the table last season.
