The NHL issued a statement on the situation with the defender of “Philadelphia” Provorov

Date:

The National Hockey League issued a statement on the situation with the Russian defender of the Philadelphia Flyers Ivan Provorov.

Recall that the Russian refused to go to the warm-up before the NHL match with Anaheim in the “rainbow” jersey. The defender did not participate in the action in support of the LGBT community due to religious reasons.

“Hockey for All is a shared initiative in which the league encourages clubs to celebrate the diversity that exists in their markets and work to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans. Clubs decide what, when, and how to celebrate with the advice and support of the NHL. The players are free to decide which initiatives to support, and we continue to encourage their voices and points of view on social and cultural issues, ” Greg Wyshinsky, a league journalist, tweeted.
