Barcelona President Joan Laporta spoke about striker Lionel Messi, who now plays for PSG.
“We will definitely do something to recognize the best player in the history of Barcelona. Messi will always be in our collective memory. This Sunday marks the 18th anniversary of his Barcelona debut and we plan to do something. Leo’s recognition is very important to us. Many Catalans still wear T-shirts with his name on them,” said Laporta, quoted by Marca.
The current contract binds Lionel Messi to PSG until the end of the 2022/2023 season. The agreement includes the option of a possible extension for another year.
