The President of PSG spoke about the financial situation of the clubs in European football.
“Some clubs have a debt of 1.8 billion euros, this is an unhealthy situation. Thank God, we have no debts, this is the result of our activities.
Of course, we lost money during the coronavirus pandemic, but we have nothing to hide. Other clubs have big debts. And this is a risk, a danger to football.
Some presidents held office for many years and left, leaving debts to their successors. And this has been happening for many years. I think it’s dangerous for football.
We have to be careful and worry about this because it is a big danger that can destroy football. We need rules that will protect clubs, that will protect the football in Europe from the catastrophe caused by these debts,” Nasser Al-Khelaifi said at the Football Talks conference.
