Three years after leaving Real Madrid, Zidane’s future remains unknown

Date:

A Spanish news report on Monday revealed Zinedine Zidane’s plans for his next move after his time as Real Madrid’s coach.

Since departing from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, Zidane has not managed any team.

As reported by the Spanish newspaper Marca, Zidane remains resolute in his decision to turn down any offers to return to coaching.

The newspaper mentioned that Zidane has been approached by several top clubs, including Manchester United, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich. However, he thanked these clubs for their interest and declined their proposals.

Zidane currently resides in Madrid to stay close to his children while they attend school. He only breaks his routine to travel to Paris or the south of France, where he visits his academy, Zidane Five Club, to teach football to young players.

The report further explained that Zidane has a clear vision for his future, focusing solely on two projects: Real Madrid and the French national team. However, if an offer from a club with an innovative and unique project arises, he might reconsider his decision.

The article added that Zidane, who has repaired his relationship with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, understands that a return to the club is currently not feasible. He is also aware that he is not a leading candidate to replace Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti in the future.

Additionally, Didier Deschamps has renewed his contract with the French national team until the 2026 World Cup, allowing Zidane to approach the situation with patience.
