Tottenham beat Chelsea in the London derby

Date:

In the 25th round of the English Football Championship, London Chelsea lost on the road to Tottenham Hotspur.

The hosts won the match 2:0, thanks to goals from Oliver Skipp (in the 46th minute) and Harry Kane (82).

After colliding with Kane in the first half, Blues defender Thiago Silva suffered an injury and was substituted.

Hakim Ziyech, a Chelsea midfielder, was given a straight red card in the second half for hitting Emerson, a Spurs player, but a video review overturned the decision. The Moroccan was issued a yellow card as a result.

Chelsea is 10th in the standings with 31 points, while Tottenham Hotspur is fourth with 45 points. They haven’t won their fifth consecutive Premier League game (3 draws, 2 losses).

For the first time since November 2018, Tottenham prevailed over Chelsea in the English Premier League.
