Manchester City suffered another setback, falling 4-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in the 12th round of the English Premier League.
Tottenham’s goals were scored by James Maddison in the 13th and 20th minutes, Pedro Porro in the 52nd minute, and Brennan Johnson in the 90+3rd minute. This victory lifted Tottenham to 19 points, placing them sixth in the league standings, while Manchester City remained on 23 points in second place.
City’s first opportunity came early when Erling Haaland connected with a cross, sending a header narrowly wide of the left post.
Moments later, Haaland posed another threat to Vicario’s goal, but the Tottenham goalkeeper comfortably dealt with his straightforward shot aimed at the center of the net.
Tottenham then stunned the hosts with the opening goal. Dejan Kulusevski delivered a pinpoint cross from the right, which James Maddison, making a late run into the box, finished with a first-time strike into the net.

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min tested Ederson with a long-range effort aimed at the far right corner, but the City goalkeeper reacted brilliantly, tipping the shot away for a corner.
