The European Football Association announced today, Sunday, that one of the matches of the second round of the group stage in the European Champions League will be postponed for 24 hours.
The European Union said that the Napoli-Rangers match will be held on the 14th of this September, and not the 13th of the same month, due to security and regulatory concerns.
It is related to the consequences of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, which resulted in the postponement of all football matches in England this week.
According to the “ Football Italia ” website, Tottenham announced on their official website that their Champions League match with Sporting Lisbon had been postponed, but they later apologized, noting that this was a “technical error”, and they also confirmed that the match would go ahead as planned.
Liverpool suffered a humiliating defeat against its host Napoli (1-4), at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, in the first group of the Champions League.
Napoli is second in the group, with 3 points, one goal behind Ajax, who beat Rangers (4-0).
