And according to the British newspaper, “The Times”, it is expected that sanctions will be imposed on 10 clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Inter, Roma, Juventus, and Barcelona.
The British newspaper pointed out that the sanctions imposed on Saint-Germain and Marseille may be financial only, while Italian clubs and Barcelona are threatened with more severe penalties that may lead to a ban from European participation or a ban on contracts.
The current season is the last to be subject to the Financial Fair Play Law, and starting in 2023, the European Union will implement a new system, whereby clubs will be allowed to spend a specified percentage of their income only on player salaries, transfers, and agent commissions.
It is reported that European Union rules allow clubs to lose only 30 million euros over three years.
