Unai Emery has commented on the appointment as head coach of Aston Villa.
“At Villarreal, I found something close to my heart, but I live by my profession. I thought that I should accept this offer [Aston Villa], accept this sporting challenge, and take on a new project.
This is a personal and professional decision. I left home at 24, opening up to professional football – with all the consequences that come with it,” Emery said.
“Here I had great moments and strong emotions. But the approach must be sober and prudent. I made the decision to move with all firmness and respect, ”the specialist added.
Emery goes to Aston Villa instead of sacked Gerrard.
