An Italian press report confirmed, today, Friday, that John Murto, the sporting director of Manchester United, left Turin in the past hours, after meeting with his agent, Adrian Rabio, the Juventus midfielder.
United are seeking to sign Rabiot this summer, in light of the approaching failure of the transfer deal, Frenkie de Jong, Barcelona star to the Red Devils.
The Italian newspaper ” Toto Sport ” reported that Morto met with Veronique, the mother, and agent of Rabiot, yesterday, Thursday, in Turin, to continue negotiations between the two parties personally.
She added that the personal terms have not yet been agreed upon, noting that despite this, things are progressing positively.
And the newspaper added that United expressed their willingness to pay about 18 million euros to Juventus to allow Rabio to leave before the end of his contract, explaining that United has not yet reached an agreement with the player regarding his salary.
She pointed out that the French player is asking for 8 to 10 million euros, as an annual salary per season, which Manchester City does not want to pay.
