Italian specialist Gennaro Gattuso has been sacked as head coach of Valencia.
The Spanish club announced this on its official page.
FC Valencia announces that this Monday, January 30, the club and first-team coach Gennaro Gattuso agreed by mutual agreement to terminate the contractual relationship that linked the Italian coach with the team.
The club would like to thank the manager for his commitment and work during these months as head coach and wish him the best of luck in his future. The team will return to training on Tuesday, January 31st under the guidance of Foro Gonzalez,” the Bats said in a statement.
Valencia are in 16th place in the Spanish La Liga standings with 20 points. It is separated from the relegation zone by one point. Also, the club flew out of the Spanish Cup, losing in the quarterfinals to Athletic (1:3).
