Retired French footballer Patrice Evra has disclosed that Paris Saint-Germain once missed out on the opportunity to bring Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo into their ranks.
Evra revealed to RMC Sport: “Cristiano Ronaldo had an interest in signing with Paris Saint-Germain before he made the move to Juventus.”
Ronaldo transferred to Juventus from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018, where he played for three seasons before making his return to Manchester United in the summer of 2021.
After an impressive season and a half back at Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo parted ways with Manchester United, terminating his contract following significant disagreements with the club’s then-coach, Dutchman Erik ten Hag.
In a stunning twist, Ronaldo made headlines by joining Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in January 2023.
Cristiano Ronaldo is on a remarkable quest to achieve an unprecedented milestone of 1,000 career goals. Currently thriving with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, the Portuguese superstar continues to deliver exceptional performances, showcasing his legendary consistency and unyielding determination. With his unmatched skill, leadership, and passion for the game, Ronaldo is not only making a significant impact in the Saudi Pro League but also inspiring fans worldwide as he edges closer to cementing his place in football history.
