Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku is going through a difficult period in his career, failing to achieve the success he dreamed of when he joined the team last year.
Nkunku has battled recurring injuries in his first season at Chelsea, making it difficult for him to secure a consistent spot in the starting XI.
However, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Nkunku has no plans to leave Stamford Bridge during the winter transfer window.
Despite scoring 10 goals in official competitions this season, the 26-year-old is frustrated with his current situation at Chelsea, as he’s yet to replicate the form he showed at Leipzig.
Italian coach Enzo Maresca has not yet relied on Nkunku as a regular starter.
German journalist Florian Plettenberg added that if the French international’s situation at Stamford Bridge does not improve by the end of the season, a summer departure remains a strong possibility.
