Exciting clauses in Lewandowski’s contract with Barcelona

Today, Monday, a Spanish press report revealed the details of the contract of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who moved to Barcelona this summer from Bayern Munich.

Barcelona signed Lewandowski, one season before the end of his contract with Bayern, for 45 million euros, plus 5 million as variables, on a 4-year contract.

According to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, Lewandowski’s contract with Barcelona contains a clause that states that if he plays less than 55% of the matches in his third season, Barca can terminate his contract.

As for the Polish star’s salary, Lewandowski will receive 20 million euros in his first season (10 million net), while the salary will reach 26 million in the second season with a total (13 million net), and in the 2024-2025 season, he will receive 32 million euros in total ( 16 million net), and in 2025-2026 (last) season, Lewandowski will receive 26 million euros (13 million net).

In addition to the fixed salary, Lewandowski also has some stipulated variables, which range from a total of 600,000 euros to win the league, to 2 million euros, in the event of a treble.

In case of obtaining the King’s Cup only, he will not get any additional reward.

Finally, Lewandowski can decide to retire at any time and end the contractual relationship with Barcelona, ​​but if he decides to play again and withdraw from retirement before 2026, he must return to Barcelona because he obtained a contract signed until that year with a penalty clause of 500 million euros.
