Ruud van Nistelrooy, the Dutch coach, has made a rapid return to the Premier League, mere days after parting ways with Manchester United.
On Friday, Leicester City confirmed the appointment of Ruud van Nistelrooy as their new first-team coach. The club announced in a statement that they had secured an agreement with the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, with the deal running through to June 2027.
Leicester City has announced that Ruud van Nistelrooy will be arriving in the UK shortly to attend the Foxes’ match against Brentford on Saturday. He is set to officially begin his first training session with the team on Sunday.
Van Nistelrooy, who made his return to the Premier League at the start of this season as an assistant to Erik ten Hag, took on an interim managerial role at Manchester United following ten Hag’s dismissal. During his short stint, the Dutch legend led United in four matches, securing three wins and one draw.
