Manchester United Crush Everton

Manchester United secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Everton on Sunday, in the 13th round of the English Premier League.

Marcus Rashford netted a brace with goals in the 34th and 46th minutes, while Joshua Zirkzee added two of his own in the 41st and 64th minutes, securing a dominant 4-0 win for Manchester United. This victory marked Ruben Amorim’s first in the Premier League as United’s coach.

The victory lifted Manchester United to ninth place in the Premier League with 19 points, while Everton stayed in 15th place, stuck on 11 points.

United’s first attempt came from Mainoo, who fired a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but Pickford was quick to react and made the save.

The Toffees’ first effort was a long-range shot from Lindstrom, but Onana was equal to the task, diving to make an excellent save for United.

Diallo received a pass from Zirkzee inside the penalty area and fired a shot, but it went wide of the left post.

Beto had a chance to score after bypassing Onana, but from a tight angle, he struggled to find the net, missing another opportunity for the visitors.

United took the lead when Fernandes delivered a corner kick, and the ball found Rashford on the edge of the penalty area. He calmly placed a shot into the far left corner, beyond Pickford’s reach.

A few minutes later, Zirkzee extended the lead for the home side, meeting a precise cross from Fernandes with a clinical touch into the net, giving United a 2-0 lead at the break.

A minute into the second half, Rashford scored again, netting the third goal for United after receiving a pass from Diallo. He placed the ball to Pickford’s left and into the net.

Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez both committed fouls in quick succession, earning yellow cards that will see them miss the upcoming match against Arsenal due to accumulation.

Diallo continued to pressure the Everton defence, winning the ball before driving toward the penalty area. He then sent a perfectly timed pass to Zirkzee, who finished with a brilliant shot into the net, sealing the win for United.

Onana was quick off his line to deny a long ball that was headed for Calvert-Lewin in a dangerous area, effectively preventing the Everton striker from getting a chance on goal.

Calvert-Lewin did manage to break free and meet a precise cross with a low header, but Onana was well-positioned to make a brilliant save, keeping the ball out of the net.

Rashford attempted a shot on the fly, but it flew wide of the goal. Diallo then appealed for a penalty after going down inside the penalty area, but the referee waved away his protest. The match concluded shortly after, with the final whistle signalling a dominant victory for Manchester United.
