Negotiations between Chelsea and Barcelona witnessed a new development regarding the deal of Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, hours before the summer transfer window for the 2022-2023 season was closed.
And press reports had reported that Aubameyang’s transfer to Chelsea was on the way to failure, after the player sustained a broken jaw, during a burglary at his home.
And the transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, posted, through his personal account on Twitter, today, Wednesday, “A new meeting now between Barcelona and Chelsea for the Aubameyang deal, which did not fail, as all parties seek to find a final solution.”
He added, “There is no problem on the part of the player, because he agreed on personal terms with Chelsea, and it is about agreeing to the structure of the deal between both clubs.”
Chelsea entered into negotiations with Barcelona to include Aubameyang, to compensate for the departure of the duo Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.
