Robert Lewandowski gave the Catalans the lead in the 40th minute. His goal was the only one in the first half, as Pedri’s goal was canceled by the VAR.
Nabil Fekir equalized in the 77th minute. In the last minutes, Lewandowski scored a double, but the goal was canceled due to offside.
In extra time, the teams traded goals, with Ansu Fati scoring for Barcelona and Lauren Moron for Real Betis. Also in the end, 36-year-old midfielder Andres Guardado received a red card, but the blue-garnet ones did not have time to take advantage of the numerical advantage. In the penalty shootout, the Barcelona players were more accurate – 4:2.
