Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Riyadh? Truth Behind Al-Nassr Exit Rumors

Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Riyadh – What Really Happened?

Rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Riyadh spread rapidly after reports claimed his private jet departed the Saudi capital for Madrid. The timing coincided with news of a drone incident near the US embassy in Riyadh, fueling speculation that security concerns triggered his departure.

However, Saudi outlet Al-Riyadh dismissed those claims. According to the report, Cristiano Ronaldo remains in Riyadh and reported to training at Al-Nassr FC as scheduled on Tuesday. The Portuguese forward was seen in the physical therapy unit, continuing his rehabilitation program following his latest injury setback.

Injury Concern After Al-Fayha Clash

Ronaldo sustained an injury during Al-Nassr’s Roshan League fixture against Al-Fayha FC at Al-Majma’ah Sports City Stadium. The incident occurred in the closing stages of the match, forcing him off the pitch roughly ten minutes before full-time.

Given Al-Nassr’s tight schedule in the Saudi Pro League, medical decisions are being handled cautiously. The club’s technical staff, led by Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus, reportedly held a meeting with Ronaldo to assess his readiness for the upcoming fixture.

Possible Madrid Trip for Specialist Examination

While Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Riyadh has not yet materialized, one scenario under consideration involves a short medical trip to Madrid. The purpose would be to consult a specialist regarding the injury before returning to prepare for the next league match.

Al-Nassr are scheduled to host Neom SC at Al-Awwal Park in the 25th round of the Roshan League. The club remains hopeful that their captain can recover in time.

Impressive Season Despite Setback

Despite the current uncertainty, Ronaldo’s numbers this season underline his importance. Across 26 appearances in all competitions, he has scored 22 goals and registered four assists—maintaining elite-level productivity.

For now, the headline Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Riyadh appears premature. The focus remains on fitness, recovery, and whether the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be fit to lead Al-Nassr in their next crucial league encounter.
