Everton confirms Lampard’s sacking as manager

Date:

Everton have announced on their official website that Frank Lampard is stepping down as manager of the team.

Also leaving the team’s coaching staff are Joe Edwards, Paul Clement, Ashley Cole, and Chris Jones. Only goalkeeping coach Alan Kelly retained his position.

The former Chelsea footballer and manager took over the club in January last year, signing a contract until the summer of 2024.

This season, Everton scored 15 points in 20 matches and is in the penultimate place in the standings of the English Premier League (EPL).

This is the second time Lampard has been sacked in the middle of a season. The first time was with Chelsea back in January 2021.
