Norwegian striker Erling Halland, Manchester City striker, stressed that he loves to joke with the fans of neighboring Manchester United, after he had provoked them at the moment he was presented as a new player for the sky blue.
“He and Sancho (United player) had a strong relationship on and off the field when we were in Dortmund, but now he plays in the other team, so we have to sneak out to see each other,” Haaland said in comments carried by the Italian TotoMercato Web site.
“We shouldn’t take everything too seriously, there are a lot of Manchester United fans in Norway, so I’m used to joking with them and I like that.”
Haaland provoked United fans during his presentation in Manchester City after he was asked which team he would like to face, and he replied, “I don’t like to say these words, but Manchester United is the team I want to face.”
