Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has rejected an offer to renew his contract with the Blues this season.
Kante’s contract with Chelsea expires in the summer of 2023, and he can negotiate and sign a new team, starting next January.
According to the newspaper “ The Sun ”, the former Chelsea administration offered Kante a 3-year renewal with a fourth season extension.
She indicated that talks with the new management have become different, as the owner, Todd Boley, offers Kante a contract for two seasons, in addition to an extension clause for a third season.
Kante refused this offer, because he wants a new contract for 4 seasons, and he is also ready to retire with the Blues.
Chelsea management takes into account Kante’s record with injuries, and therefore there is fear of awarding him a contract for 4 seasons.
