Paris Saint-Germain striker Lionel Messi is not going to renew his contract with the club, according to journalist Mikel Blasquez.
According to the source, the 35-year-old Argentine does not want to play for the Parisians next season.
Messi joined PSG in August 2021 on a free transfer following his departure from Barcelona. This season, the striker has scored 6 goals and made 8 assists in 11 matches for the French team. His contract with the Parisians is valid until the end of June 2023, while the agreement contains a clause to extend it for another year.
On September 25, it was reported that Barcelona wanted Messi to return to the Catalan club next summer.
