Manchester City beat Aston Villa and make it three points behind Arsenal

Manchester City defeated Aston Villa in the home match of the 23rd round of the Premier League.

The meeting ended with the score 3:1. On the goals of Rodri (4th minute), Ilkay Gundogan (39), and Riyad Mahrez (45+1, from the penalty spot), the guests were only able to respond with an accurate shot by Ollie Watkins (61).

Manchester City scored 48 points and climbed to second place in the Premier League standings closing the gap on leaders Arsenal to 3 points. True, the Londoners played one match less. Aston Villa (28) are in 11th place.

In the next match, Manchester City will go to visit Arsenal on February 15, and Aston Villa will play with the London club in three days.
