France striker Kylian Mbappé backed Zinedine Zidane after French Football Federation (FFF) President Noel Le Grey’s harsh words about the possibility that the specialist would take over as head coach of the national team.
- – Zidane can go to Brazil? He can go wherever he wants! Has he contacted me about working in the national team? Of course not, I wouldn’t even answer the phone,” said Le Gré.
After these words, Mbappe noted through social networks the importance of Zidane for French football.
- “Zidane is France, we don’t disrespect such legends,” Mbappé wrote.
Earlier, the French Football Federation announced the extension of the contract with the current head coach of the national team Didier Deschamps until 2026.
