The condition of the legend of world football – the Brazilian Pele – has worsened, according to businessman Frank Khalid on his Twitter.
“Pele, who continues to be in the hospital, said goodbye to his family and friends. The football legend is slowly losing his battle with cancer. His family says his condition is getting worse,” Khalid wrote.
Pele continues to struggle with the progressing effects of colon cancer. He was forced to spend Christmas in the hospital. The disease was detected in Pele last fall, after which the 82-year-old Brazilian underwent chemotherapy, but subsequently, the body stopped responding to it.
In this regard, his condition gradually began to worsen, and on November 29 he was hospitalized for tests and reassignment of the course of treatment.
