PSG defeated Lille in the Ligue 1 thanks to Messi’s late goal

In the home match of the 24th round of the French championship, PSG defeated Lille.

The meeting was decided 4:3 at the end.

Lille players Bafode Diakite (24), Jonathan David (58, from the penalty spot), and Jonathan Bamba (69) responded to goals by Kylian Mbappé (11 minutes in) and Neymar (17 minutes in). In any case, toward the finish of the last part, the hosts figured out how to get triumph thanks to the endeavors of Mbappe (87) and Lionel Messi (90+5). A direct free kick was scored by the Argentine.

The Parisians had to replace defender Nuno Mendes in the 31st minute because of an injury. At the start of the second half, Neymar suffered a serious ankle injury and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher.

With 57 points, PSG continues to lead Ligue 1, while Lille is fifth with 41 points.

On February 24, Lille will take on Brest, and PSG will travel to Marseille two days later.
