Barcelona is reportedly considering Rayo Vallecano’s Andrei Ratiu as a potential addition to strengthen their right-back options this season.
As reported by Marca, the Blaugrana have reached out to the Romanian international to explore his interest in a move to Camp Nou.
While manager Hansi Flick is pleased with Jules Koundé’s performances at right-back and anticipates the return of Ronald Araújo from injury to provide more options, the club is eager to enhance depth in this key defensive role.
Ratiu’s solid performances and adaptability have made him a standout candidate, with Barcelona keen to secure reinforcements for their backline ahead of upcoming challenges. Talks are expected to progress in the near future.

The Romanian defender signed with Rayo Vallecano in the summer of 2023, transferring from Huesca. His current contract ties him to the Madrid club until June 2028 and features a €25 million release clause.
Despite this clause, Barcelona is confident they could secure Ratiu for less, given Rayo Vallecano’s potential need for financial flexibility.
