Real Madrid are working on the transfer of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
According to ESPN, citing its sources, the Madrid club is ready to offer more than 100 million euros for the 19-year-old midfielder. Real Madrid are confident negotiations for the Englishman’s move will speed up in January.
Bellingham is Madrid‘s main goal. Real Madrid understands that they will compete for the player with Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
In November, ESPN reported that Liverpool were leading the race for Bellingham. Despite this, the position of “Real” in the negotiations remained quite advantageous. Jude’s price has gone up since then, but sources say Real don’t want to make a “crazy” offer for the midfielder.
Madrid believes that 100 million euros is enough to close the deal. The club hopes that Florentino Pérez and Hans-Joachim Watzke’s good relationship will help make the transfer possible.
Negotiations between the Real Madrid management and the player’s entourage are going well. The club is confident that the long-term work to convince Bellingham and Borussia is bearing fruit.
Real Madrid edged out Liverpool last summer for Aurélien Tchouameni. Madrid are hoping to do the same with Bellingham, whom they see as the perfect addition to the midfield that Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde already play.
This season, the midfielder has 9 goals and 3 assists in 22 matches for Borussia in all competitions. He scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist in 5 games for England at the 2022 World Cup.
