Date:

The match of the 18th round of the Italian Serie A, in which Roma hosted Fiorentina at the Olimpico stadium, has ended.

The final whistle of the chief arbiter Antonio Giua fixed the victory of the Romans with a score of 2:0.

The guests were in the minority already in the 24th minute – by this time the Brazilian defender of the “violets” Dodo received a second yellow card. Jose Mourinho’s team managed to take advantage of the numerical advantage at the end of the first half: Tammy Abraham assisted the Argentine striker Paulo Dybala, who delivered an accurate shot on goal by Pietro Terracciano. In the 82nd minute, Dybala scored a double from the transfer of the same Abraham.

The victory allowed the Romans to score 34 points and catch up with Atalanta (sixth position) in the Serie A standings. Fiorentina still have 23 points, the team is in ninth place.
