Egyptian star Mohamed Salah showcased his brilliance once again for Liverpool, scoring a brace against Southampton on Sunday evening in the 12th round of the English Premier League.

Southampton held a 2-1 lead until Mohamed Salah leveled the score in the 65th minute with a deft one-touch finish from a precise Ryan Gravenberch assist. Salah then secured Liverpool’s victory in the 83rd minute by converting a penalty kick.

Liverpool’s official website highlighted that Mohamed Salah has become the club’s top scorer against Southampton in the Premier League, netting 9 goals and surpassing Robbie Fowler’s previous record of 8 goals. Additionally, Salah celebrated his 100th away goal for Liverpool across all competitions.

The “Squawka” network noted that Salah has now scored in five consecutive Premier League matches, marking his second-longest scoring streak in the competition, following his seven-match run in 2021. Furthermore, the network emphasized that Salah has reached double digits in goals in each of his eight seasons with Liverpool since his arrival in 2017.
